A quote from us is a written page, not a number in a chat window. It lists the property, the nights, what the week costs per person, and the specific items on that week a dog cannot join. That last part is why we ask for four facts before we start. You can ask for a dog friendly vacation quote with less than four, and we will still answer, but we will write back asking for the missing one before anything useful can happen.
The four are below. None of them is a commitment. A month can move, a ceiling can move, and the answer you thought you wanted often changes once you see what it costs to hold it.
The four facts a figure is built from
- A month, or two months you could live with
- Rates on the same house swing by hundreds of dollars between June and October, and the trips filed as all-of-it fill earliest because there is nothing to work around. Give us a month and we price that month. Give us "sometime next year" and we can only give you a range.
- Which of the three answers you can live with
- All-of-it, almost-all-of-it, or part-of-it. If whole city days being closed to your dog would ruin the week for you, say so and we will not send you those. If you are fine leaving one afternoon out, we can reach lower figures. This single line changes the price more than anything else you tell us.
- How big the dog is, in plain words
- Not a breed, not a weight class off a form. Write it the way you would say it out loud: knee high and forty pounds, or small enough to sit on a lap, or tall enough to reach the counter. Properties answer differently at roughly thirty pounds, roughly sixty, and above that, and a plain sentence gets a straighter answer from them than a number does. Two dogs, say two.
- A rough ceiling per person
- Our trips run $1,180 to $3,120 per person. Telling us you would rather not pass eighteen hundred is not haggling. It stops us building you a week you were never going to take and losing four working days doing it.
The sequence once it lands here
- Same working dayA person reads the message and replies. If all four facts are there, the reply says so and tells you which trips we are going to check. If one is missing, the reply asks for it and nothing else.
- Days one and twoWe contact the properties directly with your dog described in your own words. This is the slow part and we cannot speed it up. Answers come back at their pace, not ours.
- Days two to fourThe figure is written. Two or three options where we have them, one where the month is tight. Each option names the nights, the price per person, what is included, and every item on that week that is closed to a dog.
- You read it and say nothing for a whileThere is no clock on the quote. Rates can move underneath it and we will tell you plainly if that happens, but nobody here is going to send you a reminder about a decision you have not made.
- If you want itWe go back and hold it. Payment is arranged between you and the property under their own terms, and the cancellation terms are written out for you before anything is confirmed. See cancellation terms.
What we do not ask you for
No card number. There is no field for one on this page and there will not be one later in the message thread either. We are paid a commission by the property after you travel, which is the whole reason a quote costs you nothing.
No deposit link. Nothing you receive from us will contain a payment button. If something arrives claiming to be from this office and asks you to pay through a link, it did not come from us and you should call the desk on +1 (952) 897-4126.
No clock. We do not print how many days you have to decide, because we would be inventing it. When a property tells us a rate is about to change, we pass that along in the same plain sentence they used with us.
And nothing about your dog's health. We do not ask, we do not want it in the message, and it would not help us anyway. Whether a particular week suits your dog is a conversation for your own veterinarian, and it is entirely yours to have. Our questions stop at size, because size is what a property answers on. The same goes for care while you are out for an evening: that is yours to arrange, and this office does not do it.
