Privacy notice for people who write to this office

This notice covers the request form, the record a booking creates, and the cookie the site sets. It is written to be read in one sitting.

Nothing on this site takes payment details, and none are ever asked for.

The office is Travel Pet Adventures Bookings LLC, 5601 Green Valley Drive, Suite 240, Bloomington, MN 55437. Questions about anything below go to alongside@travelpetadventures.com or +1 (952) 897-4126, and a message is read the same working day.

Where the details come from

The size question is the one that needs explaining. Self catering owners set their own limits and most of them set the limit by weight or by a rough description, so the answer to "can we come" depends on it. When a request goes out, the size you wrote is passed to the property along with your dates and party size, because a property cannot answer without it. That is the whole reason the field is there.

Nothing about an animal's health is asked for, and nothing about an animal's health is held. Not shot records, not treatment, not age, not a condition, not a note from anybody. If a property ever asks this office for such a thing, the answer is that it belongs between the traveler and their own what belongs with your veterinarian, and the request stops here.

The request form
Your name, an email address, a phone number if you choose to give one, the dates or month you have in mind, how many people are coming, and how big the dog is in plain words. Nothing on the form is required except a way to reply to you.
A property, once a booking exists
A confirmation number, the nights held, and the amount the property has charged you. This arrives after you have booked, never before, and only for the booking you made.
The page itself
Nothing. The site has no login, no account, no wishlist and no saved cart. Reading a page and leaving creates no record with your name on it.

How long any of it stays

A request that goes nowhere
Held ninety days from your last message, then deleted. Most requests end this way and that is normal. The ninety days exist so that a person who writes back in March about a January question is not starting over.
A request that becomes a booking
Held seven years from the travel date, because a commission was paid on it and the paperwork behind a payment has to survive an audit.
A message asking to be removed
Held as long as the account it applies to, and no longer. Proof that a deletion happened is itself a record, which is the one piece nobody enjoys but everybody needs.

Cookies and what the site sets

What is never done

Contact details are never sold, rented, swapped or handed to a mailing list. There is no newsletter here, so nobody is added to one. The only third party that ever receives anything is the property you asked about, and only the four items named above: dates, party size, the size of the dog, and a way to reach you.

No payment details reach this office at all. The traveler pays the property, the property pays this office a commission after travel, and card numbers are handled by the property under their own arrangements. If any page ever asks you for a card number, it is not this site.

There is no profile built about you across visits. Two requests six months apart are two requests, not a history.

Anybody under sixteen

The form is meant for adults booking travel. If a child's name appears because they are traveling with you, it is passed to the property as part of the party count and nothing further is done with it. This office does not knowingly hold contact details belonging to anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has sent something through the form, write to underfoot@travelpetadventures.com and it is removed the same working day it is read.

Asking what is held, or asking for it to go

Write to underfoot@travelpetadventures.com from the address you used on the form. You can ask for a copy of what is held, ask for a correction, or ask for the lot to be deleted. A copy or a correction takes two to four working days. A deletion is done in the same window, with the exception in the table above: where a booking was paid on, the accounting record stays for its seven years and everything else attached to it goes.

You do not need to give a reason and you will not be asked for one. Where a state you live in gives you a stronger right than the one described here, that stronger right applies and this notice does not limit it. the Minnesota Secretary of State.

When this notice changes

Any change is written into this page and the date at the foot of it moves. There is no separate archive and no version history to hunt through, because the page is short enough to reread. If a change affects something already sent in, for instance a shorter retention period, the change applies to it too rather than only to new requests.

Questions about a specific booking are usually faster on the phone at +1 (952) 897-4126. General questions about this notice are better in writing at alongside@travelpetadventures.com, so that the answer exists somewhere you can point back to. Anything about trips themselves, including what a property will and will not agree to, sits on the short answers.
