Terms

Terms, and the boundary clauses that matter more than the rest

Updated 6 August 2026. Clause 6 does the work that a shop's terms would spread over five pages, and clauses 9 to 11 are the ones this particular site needs.

Reading and reusing

  1. 1. This site is published by Shade and Water Press LLC of Austin, Texas. Reading costs nothing, needs no account and creates no obligation on either side.
  2. 2. Copyright in the text, the pictures, the design and the code sits with Shade and Water Press LLC.
  3. 3. One paragraph, with the journal named and the record linked, requires no permission from anybody. Anything larger, and any photograph, starts with a note to [email protected]: the answer is usually yes and it always comes in writing.
  4. 4. Republishing the journal entire is not on, and neither is passing off this walking as somebody else's.

What a record claims

  1. 5. Each record covers one piece of ground on one printed day at one recorded temperature. Read the claim as bounded by those three things, because creeks stop running, gates get chained, trails are rerouted and signs come down.

Nothing is sold here

  1. 6. Nothing on this site is for sale. Go through the pages looking for anything purchasable and the search comes back empty: no storefront, no reservation, no admission, no plan to join, no figure quoted. With no transaction anywhere, five topics that would each need a page of their own on a trading site are left with nothing to describe, so they are answered here instead. Payment: never requested. Refund: impossible, since nothing was paid. Cancellation: nothing exists to cancel. Delivery and shipping: no object ever travels. Warranty: no goods, therefore no warranty. Those pages are missing on purpose.
  2. 7. Commerce enters this site at exactly one point: the look up on the front page, which forwards a trip to an independent booking host. Whatever agreement follows binds the reader and the seller of that trip. This journal stands outside it, and has no power to change it, end it or return anybody's money.
  3. 8. Where that arrangement pays a commission, it is disclosed beneath the form and again on the independence page.

The boundaries this publication keeps

  1. 9. This journal provides no service involving the transport of animals. It does not carry them, arrange carriage, broker it, or refer readers to anybody who does. Nothing on any page should be read as such an offer.
  2. 10. This journal provides no veterinary, medical or health advice of any kind, and nothing here is a substitute for the judgement of a person qualified to treat an animal. Conditions are reported; what they mean for a particular animal is outside the competence of this publication.
  3. 11. Nothing here is a safety assessment. Walking any described ground is the reader's own decision, made in the reader's own judgement of heat, surface, water and the animal in their care.

Independence and limits

  1. 12. No affiliation is held with any park authority, landowner, transport company, equipment maker or tourism body, and none should be inferred.
  2. 13. No company sharing part of this web address has any connection to this publication.
  3. 14. Sponsorship has never reached a record and no mention has been paid for. Should that ever cease to be true, the notice would go up on the method page before any affected record is published, not after.
  4. 15. Where fault lies with the publisher, liability is limited as far as the law permits and no further. Nothing here touches liability for death or personal injury arising from negligence, or anything else the law does not allow to be excluded.
  5. 16. If one clause proves unenforceable, strike that clause alone and the rest continues as printed.

Law and reaching us

  1. 17. Texas law applies to these terms, and any dispute about them belongs in the Texas courts.
  2. 18. Before any of that, write to [email protected] or telephone +1 (737) 415-2860.

Reading this site means these terms apply.
